Evidence Based Strategies

  • Optimize daylighting through site design, building orientation, larger windows, and programming of interior spaces. Use glass partitions in interior offices.
  • Minimize glare using task lighting and adjustable window treatments.
  • Minimize light pollution with automated lighting shutoffs at night and after periods of inactivity.

  • Provide lighting system control by occupants to promote comfort and wellbeing.
